Position: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Jackson, MS
Description:
A Jackson area Manufacturing and Energy firm is looking for a Electrical Project Engineer with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as well as experience working for a utility company. A minimum of five years experience in T &D substation/power delivery systems, engineering and projects experience as Project Engineer in substation type applications, including substation automation, SCADA, control and relay protection is also highly preferred.
The qualified candidate will have demonstrated electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capability. A strong presence in front of the customer along with excellent personal computer skills, including software development, and familiarity with AutoCAD/micro station is strongly desired. Professional Engineering registration within the US is a plus.
The candidate best suited for this position will have excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. This position also requires keen attention to detail and an ability to work well with others as well as on a team. Position: Protection Engineer-Alliances

Description:
A Jackson area manufacturing and energy company is seeking a Protection Engineer to add to its team. This positions a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a minimum of five years experience in system protection schemes, relay selection, settings development, operational analysis, communications systems and maintenance practices for transmission, distribution, and generation protection applications. Three years experience in protective relaying coordination and practices is also required.
Job responsibilities will include develop and complete protection schemes for industrial balance of plant, and utility applications including one-lines, three-lines, DC schematics, and relay settings. You will work with a design team to develop panel and interconnect wiring as well as panel layouts/elevations. This person will also lead the effort for development of bids and proposals. Proposal work will include the review of technical specifications, supporting sourcing of vendor quotations, directing design on drawing requirements, and the development of technical responses and cost estimates for the proposed projects.
